Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Carola Cintrón Moscoso is a transdisciplinary artist with an emphasis in the perception of sound related to landscape, the architectural space and the body; approached from her socio-political and cultural reality as a Caribbean artist. Cintrón has an MFA in Computer Art from SVA (NYC) and has participated in multiple art residencies at: UAGM Museum, in Gurabo, Puerto Rico (2021), MASSMoca, Massachusetts, USA (2019) and AS220, Rhode Island, USA (2018). Has received two production grants (Máquina Simple 2023 and EL Serrucho 2020) form the Beta Local, San Juan (PR) and her work is part of the permanent collection at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Art of Ponce and the UAGM Museum in Gurabo in Puerto Rico. Has exhibited internationally in New York, Lima (Perú), Río de Janeiro (Brazil), and in Madrid (Spain), among other cities. As artist and educator, has participated in multiple talks and panels about sound and contemporary art in Barcelona, New York and Puerto Rico. Between 2016-2021, co-founded/directed Diagonal (Santurce, PR), a space dedicated to the exploration and exhibition of contemporary practices related to art and technology, and has offered multiples workshops and university courses, exploring the intersection between sound, art, design and technology. Currently lives and works from San Juan, Puerto Rico.
