Carola Cintrón is a multidisciplinary artist whose works explores the varying relationships between culture and politics, engaging diverse subjects like memory, landscape and the body. Her work has been exhibited at museums and galleries internationally and in Puerto Rico, including the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (PR), Centro Cultural España (Perú), Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (Spain), Museo de Arte Contemporáneo (Chile), China Millennium Museum (Beijing) and Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park (NY).
Cintrón has participated of artist talks and contemporary art discussion panels, in Barcelona, New York and Puerto Rico. She has co-organized numerous individual and group shows, workshops and is co-founder/director of Diagonal, an artist-run space dedicated to the exploration and exhibition of contemporary practices related to art and technology in Santurce, PR. In 2019 completed a Residency at MASSMoca in Massachussets, and in 2018 the residency at AS220 in Rhode Island. In 2003, was awarded with the d.u.m.b.o. Arts Center and Experimental Television Center Prize in NY. Her work is part of the video collection at Museo de Arte de Ponce, PR. She currently lives and works in Santurce, Puerto Rico and teaches art at the School of Fine Arts and Design of Puerto Rico.
